Thanks, but I’m not strictly speaking a Meisner disciple any more than I am a Lee Strasberg or Constantin Stanislavski. I tend to take the Bruce Lee approach to the craft so I’m take the Jeet Kune Do approach to acting.

Hahaha. Yes, of course. I didn’t mean to pigeonhole you or anything. Obviously lots of actors do take bits and pieces from many different methods, even myself. Although the basis of my base does stem from Meisner- with modifications and additions. I should’ve made a clearer comment 🙂
So funnily enough, what I thought to myself after posting the comment was, “She probably utilizes bits and pieces of different methods, ya know!”
I’m sure I’ll find this information in your blog as I take the time to explore it more, but are you based in HK or the States? What made you decide to go into acting 30 years ago? Are you solely an actor (and writer/filmmaker) or do you also have a supplemental job outside?
I always find these things very interesting about other actors.

🙂 I went into acting I think from a subconscious desire to be able to “hide in plain sight”. I teach, train, lecture and speak when I can as a day job. I’m totally freelance which can be very scary sometimes especially when the work is not coming in. I’m based in the UK. as I say of myself I was made in Hong Kong and exported to the UK in the late 50s early 60s.
